We have an exciting opportunity in Hywel Dda University Health Board, within the county of Ceredigion, for a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health on a fixed term/secondment basis.

This exciting new role will be supporting service delivery and patient care within pelvic health across acute and community services in Ceredigion.

To apply, you should have a NVQ level 3 or equivalent plus relevant experience working in a therapy department in a physical health care setting.

As 7 day services are developed, applicants must be prepared to work as part of a rota to cover 7 days.

The post holder will be expected to travel in a timely manner within the HDUHB area. Mileage allowance is payable.

You will have experience of using highly skilled handling techniques.

You will be able to demonstrate clinical reasoning skills that enable you to assess and treat patients within protocols without immediate direct supervision.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who has the skills and ability to engage well with their patients, can work under supervision as well as independently, support innovation and training, and has the ability to work flexibly in a team. Relevant evidence of experience in patient care is desired.

You will work with others in the team in the treatment of patients with complex pelvic health issues e.g. bladder and bowel issues.

You will be working with patients who have frailty as part of team to prevent pelvic health conditions from contributing to their falls risk.

You will be working to promote pelvic health advice as part of a life course approach to prevention.

We are looking for a caring and friendly person who has the ability to interact with people in a mature and positive way.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
