Senior Shared Lives coordinator Salary, Grade 10 (£40,833 - £42,840pa)

Full Time / 36 hours per week / Permanent

Croydon Shared Lives service Do you have the ability to make a positive and lasting difference to the lives of people with mental health needs, people with learning disabilities, older people, and people at risk?

You will be in good company in this dynamic, dedicated and expanding Shared Lives team which is recruiting two Senior Shared Lives Coordinators. This dedicated and expanding team is responsible for selecting/deselecting, training, monitoring, regulating service provision provided by The Croydon Shared Lives scheme Carers, and Croydon Lodgings for families’ householders.

The purpose of the scheme is to provide a range of accommodation to service users for people with learning difficulties, mental health needs, and expectant young mothers/parent with a child under five within the community. Could you monitor service provision to meet Care Quality Commission guidance and Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework, ensuring good outcomes for service users placed with Shared Lives carers?

Could you provide formal supervision, with direct first line management responsibility for shared lives coordinators who are in regular contact with SL carers/householders who are responsible for a significant carer/householder and service user/applicant caseload?

Do you have the vision that we need, to help in setting the standard for good quality services for people at risk. You will need a strong working knowledge and understanding of Shared Lives and managing staff. The role requires highly effective communication skills, strong service development capabilities, organisational skills and a working knowledge of management coaching and supporting staff. You will need to be able to complete in-depth carer assessments and chair meetings as well as respond to safeguarding alerts, risk management issues and complaints/opportunities to improve the service.
