**Sales Ledger**

We are recruiting for a family business based in Kendal which supplies commercial catering equipment to the UK catering industry and processes thousands of orders each month. They are looking for a Sales Ledger to add to their team on a permanent basis. You will work full time Monday to Friday 08.30-17.00 at their offices.

**The role**

Your main duty will be to run and maintain a busy sales ledger alongside daily bookkeeping duties. You will be required to reconcile various income streams and bank accounts and post to Sage 50 cloud Accounts. You will be part of a small accounts department and work as a team to ensure the smooth running of the company.

**Responsibilities**

Processing invoices and checking against purchase orders

Ensure all 30 day account customers are invoiced and completed in a timely manner

Set up new customer accounts and maintain existing account details within the sales ledger

Complete external customer account set up forms

Check banks for money coming in and liaise with the sales team in a timely manner

Respond to the sales team queries regarding on account customers

Send out monthly statements and chase any overdue invoices

Refunding customers

Reconcile income streams from various sources and post to Sage

Help monitor the inbox of the accounts team

**What you will bring**

Previous sales ledger experience

Great interpersonal and communications skills

Self-discipline

Good team working skills

The ability to work to monthly deadlines

An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Microsoft Word, Excel and Sage

Thorough, organised and trustworthy
