**THE JOB**
To develop, grow and maximise profitability through the sales of ruminant and retail products to customers and prospective customers within an agreed sales policy and sales territory.
To achieve agreed sales targets through having a proactive approach to sales, making efforts to acquire new customers, and upselling our products and services.
To have detailed product knowledge, explaining the features and benefits to maximise sales.
To engage with customers to build a rapport with them and understanding their needs to maximise sales.
To manage a sales pipeline identifying potential new sales to drive performance.
To have product presentation skills to demonstrate our products and services and to answer any questions that potential customers may have to enable us to maximise sales.
To have negotiation skills and be able to understand the customer’s budget, to offer competitive pricing options that meet the customer’s requirements and maximise margin contribution.
To manage customer debt to ensure that it is kept within company credit policies.
To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice, are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS, & NOPS assurance schemes.
Adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those
relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED**
Essential:
- Experience of driving growth in sales.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Experience of managing a sales ledger through the use of a CRM system
- Amtra SQP qualification
- FAR qualification
Desirable
- Agricultural experience.
- Competent IT skills and experience of the Microsoft office suite
