Birmingham, United Kingdom JTL Full time

As a qualified Plumber, you know what it takes to complete plumbing work to exceptional standards of safety and quality. You have the right technical abilities. You are up to date with the most recent technology, and just as importantly, you combine real attention to detail with the ability to think logically and solve complex problems on your feet. This role would be appropriate for a person new to teaching and would be put on a Level 5 training programme if required.

**So who better than you to help us train and develop the next generation of plumbers?**

We serve approximately 8000 apprentices and 3500 employers across England and Wales. Training more apprentices than anyone else in the building services engineering sector. Your challenge? To ensure that we deliver high quality teaching and learning at our JTL Training Centre in Nottingham in all aspects of the PMES related theoretical and practical syllabus for City and Guilds at Level 3.

You will be responsible for developing material to support the required course. This is an exciting new opportunity where we will want you to help promote the activities of the centre including maintaining relationships with external parties, assisting with industry events, and keeping abreast of developments in your field of expertise. You will be responsible for the welfare and safety of apprentices at all times.

Fully qualified in PMES, you must have verifiable relevant industry experience and current knowledge of industry working practices and techniques relevant in a mechanical services environment. Any knowledge or involvement in Government training schemes and National Vocational Qualifications would be an advantage - as would TDLB D32 and D33 or A1 Unit or a TAQA qualifications. A recognised teaching qualification such as a PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or Cert Ed would really make you stand out.

Good IT skills are a must for this role, and with your good administrative and organisational skills, and you will quickly establish yourself as an invaluable member of our team.

We welcome applicants from all sections of the community. JTL is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all its employees to share this commitment in conjunction with the requirements of the Prevent Duty and the positive promotion of modern British values.

**This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.**

**Essential requirements**: Qualified Plumber, English and Maths Level 2 qualifications, NVQ Level 3, recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent, gas (ACS) qualifications, driving licence and use of a car.
