Applications are invited for the post of College Tutor to the Royal College Obstetrics & Gynaecology. This post is essential for the Trust as we continue to move forward to optimise the trainee experience here at Birmingham Womens & Childrens NHS Foundation Trust. Attached is a copy of the RCOG guidance regarding the roles & responsibilities of the post.

The College Tutor will work both within the Department and closely with the Postgraduate Clinical Tutors team.

**In brief the main responsibilities of the post will be to**:
Ensure safe and effect patient care through training and the delivery of the RCOG core specialty;
Establish and maintain an educational environment within the Trust;
Play an active role in teaching and the facilitation of learning for our O & G trainees;
Oversee both the formative and summative assessment and appraisal process of O & G trainees via e-Portfolio;
Play an active role in the ARCP of O & G trainees;
Provide pastoral care and guidance for O & G trainees;
Provide guidance on both a personal and professional level for the development of O & G trainees;
Ensure visible local representation of the RCOG.

We anticipate that the successful applicant will receive 1.5 PA for this role as recommended by the National Association of Clinical Tutors.
