We are looking for an exceptional school leader, with a passion for reading to join our Flying High team. You will form part of the Flying High central team, working together to impact on schools across our Trust and beyond. Your core responsibility will be the leadership of The Flying High English Hub one of 34 schools nationally to be awarded the English Hub Status from the Department of Education. Throughout the past three and a half years we have had considerable success as an English Hub, developing exceptional practice and outcomes across our Trust and providing targeted support to a vast number of identified schools across our region. This support and development has focused on developing early reading, reading for pleasure and language skills. Through in-school support, auditing, programme delivery, training opportunities and true partnership work, we have continued to provide the very best support to schools in the region. We are seeking to appoint an English Hub Leader to continue this exciting project, with the full support and strategic leadership from the Senior Hub lead and Flying High Central team.

Flying High Partnership consists of two distinct parts: Flying High Trust and Flying High Futures. Flying High Trust is a Multi Academy Trust of 31 primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Nottingham City. Our Flying High family work hard to deliver the best possible opportunities to our children. Through this partnership we are proud of our achievements and are recognised as one of the highest performing Multi Academy Trusts (MAT) in the country. Flying High Futures provides professional learning internally for staff across the Trust, and externally through Department for Education national programmes. Forming part of Flying High Futures is the Flying High Teaching School Hub, Flying High English Hub, and the Flying High cohort of Inspiring Leaders teacher training.

We are looking for someone who:

- A passion to work in partnership with schools across Flying High Trust, developing excellent practice and ensuring exceptional outcomes for every child.
- Significant leadership experience and potential, with measurable impact.
- Current and proven experience in leading phonics/early reading strategies.
- Have a proven track record of high-quality English teaching and a passion for this area.
- An ability to provide both support and challenge to school leaders.
- The capacity to operate as a strategic leader, able to effectively identify clear priorities, develop and implement robust action plans and complete on
- going monitoring.
- Be able to lead on the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for all pupils and staff supported by the Hub
- Be willing to work within a team structure and have the desire to develop your own strategic leadership
- Experience in presenting and facilitating large groups of adults.
