Develop intuitive, professional, and interactive data visualisations for dashboards, reports, and presentations, making large and complex data sets accessible and understandable to users. Distil quantitative and qualitative data to communicate compelling stories in a format that will convey its meaning to a diverse audience. Interpret requirements, create functional specifications, perform highly complex analyses, and present options and recommendations to obtain desired results. Ensure Standard Operating Porcedures (SOPs) and policies are kept relevant, implemented and maintained in line with national guidelines.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills Expert in visualization tools, specifically PowerBI. Extraction and interrogation of data from multiple data sources using Business Intelligence software including, but not limited to SQL, SSRS, Microsoft Excel and PowerBI. Application of creativity and knowledge of data presentation, visualisations and story telling to design, develop and implement reports which are both informative and easy to use. System administration of Business Intelligence software including the monitoring of usage and compliance.

This will include regular in-depth audit and review of reports produced by partner agencies to ensure compliance with best practice and agreed policies and procedures. Ability to communicate and work in partnership effectively across organisational, technical, and political boundaries in both formal and informal environments to maximise the sharing of knowledge, processes and skills and develop the Trusts analytical capability. Collaborate with different departments including technical development teams, informaticians, clinical and operational staff to solve problems, create solutions and new ways of working and convey key messages using data visualisation techniques. Effective use of communication and persuasion skills to discuss tasks with customers capture and analyse their information requirements.

Highlight the benefits of a particular approach and negotiate a term of reference to ensure a focus on answering the right questions in the right way. Ability to plan workload to meet deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks in a busy climate. Produce and deliver comprehensive training material to develop and maintain a high level of skills and abilities across the organisations within the Trust, ensuring that technical BI skills are shared and developed. Teach, tutor and coach, formally and informally as required to ensure effective use of the BI systems.

Proven record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple, dynamic priorities with mínimal supervision. Handle patient confidential data from a variety of sources and managing access to that data as appropriate. Be able to use initiative and work both independently and as part of a team, managing personal workload and conflicting priorities. Working for extended periods of time on a single task, maintaining concentration and focus despite interruptions.

Maintains an effective overview of the capacity and performance in the technical systems, ensuring that they meet the current and predicted needs of the Trust. Act with integrity, in line with the Trusts mission and values and comply with the Caldicott principles. May need to travel across UHNM site: Royal & County Hospitals, mainly office based with limited exposure to emotional circumstances
