**About the role**

Working as part of the Credit Management team, you’ll work with colleagues in across Customer Services to ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices from our business customers. This will help minimise the company’s debt risk exposure and help our customers reduce their outstanding balances. Where appropriate, you’ll also enforce penalties in accordance with the terms and conditions of our contracts.

A typical week will see you supporting customers through their debt journey to secure prompt payment, while following our debt recovery processes and dealing with customer queries. You’ll also produce statements of account for customers where required, enable the timely payment of outstanding debts, and negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements in line with set guidelines.

In addition, you’ll chase and collect outstanding debts in all age bands, contact customers on Direct Debit to manage cancellations and ensure we make collections in line with usage. You’ll work with third party debt agencies and be required to create legal packs when required. Your role will also entail providing account history information and, at times, write-off requests in line with set guidelines.

**About You**

Due to the nature of this role, you’ll be drawing upon your customer services and/or credit management experience. You’ll also be confident in your ability to handle difficult conversations around non-payment and ensure that we always treat each customer fairly.

This busy role will require you to plan your day and ensure that you complete your work on time. Your analytical capability will be key in this role, as you research, produce and evaluate management information while identifying areas for improvement alongside your line manager.
