For optimum logístical expediency all incoming freight to Scotland is transported directly to our hub in Glasgow where it is cross docked and sent to one of our depots for immediate onward delivery.
We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Traffic/Admin Clerk to join our busy Inverness depot.
Key responsibilities include:
- To ensure driver colleagues are provided with the highest level of service to allow them to operate and deliver to the highest standards and in a professional manner.
- To act as the primary point of contact for all briefing, de-briefing and customer queries dealing with driver colleagues face to face on a daily basis. Responsible for providing an excellent service, presenting a positive and professional image.
- To ensure that the traffic sheet is continually monitored and that all routes depart on time and that all drivers leave site with the correct and relevant paperwork.
- To ensure data input is of a high standard with daily housekeeping to ensure records are accurate.
- To continually monitor and update the de-brief system on all outbound and inbound vehicle movements
- To ensure that all issues are logged and all incidents reported promptly to the relevant sites, ensuring corrective action is taken and a log recorded of preventive action to prevent reoccurrence.
- To submit all required business reports on time through the direction of the Central De-brief Administration Controller.
- To provide the highest level of customer service when dealing with driver’s enquiries and customers, ensuring that where applicable each individual request is logged and if unresolved passed to the relevant site line management team.
- To ensure that each daily data entry requirement is complete by the end of each shift.
- To establish and link to the TM’s to ensure that communication is efficient and proactive and any issues or changes to the plan are fully understood and communicated within the Central de-brief function.
- Data Entry to our internal and external systems.
- Completing KPIs on delivery performances.
- Knowledge of Excel and Spreadsheets is essential
- Geographical knowledge is essential
