As a Senior Interaction Designer you’ll work in a multidisciplinary team, alongside content designers, user researchers, analysts, and managers. You will be involved in the delivery of the public facing (GOV.UK) UKHSA data dashboard and provide support to other public health priority topics driven by the needs of internal UKHSA coll eagues and external stakeholders.

You need to have a strong foundation in user-centred design with an ability to identify user needs and business requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and create and iterate design solutions.

Your job will be to design accessible public services that are simple enough for everyone to use. You’ll be excited by the challenge of creating digital services that work across multiple channels, devices, browsers and platforms.

You’ll be able to see the bigger picture as well as the fine detail; to create high fidelity prototypes in specialist tools and code as well as sketch on paper. You’ll understand the way that the internet works and how to design in an agile environment.

Based on iterative user research, understand user needs and design services that meet them.
Translate concepts into user-centred interfaces and refine the user experience.
Work with user researchers and developers to turn prototypes into user-centred services.
Create and iterate prototypes and live features working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team and with internal stakeholders
Provide guidance on user experience design.
Communicate product ideas and user experience design concepts to different audiences in meetings, via presentations and through workshops.
Ensure that the design of services is consistent, both internally and with the rest of GOV.UK
Embed a digital culture across UKHSA, with a focus on user needs and delivering services that meet the GOV.UK Service Standard

**Essential Criteria**:
You will be assessed on the below (7) essential criteria's, which have been selected from the Job Description.

Experience of handling projects and priorities in an agile, fast-paced, environment
Experience of engaging with members of multi-disciplinary teams in the design process
Experience of working in a challenging stakeholder environment
Experience of interpreting user research
Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively
Able to undertake rapid, lightweight prototyping, from paper to interactive, including expert command of design related software and prototyping tools
