Scunthorpe, United Kingdom North Lincolnshire Council Full time

We have an exciting opportunity in the Housing Advice Team for a Housing Advice Triage Worker to join us on a 24-month fixed term contract.

The role will involve delivering a professional Housing Options and Homeless service preventing or delaying homelessness through targeted early interventions (including advocacy, negotiation, and mediation) and by providing service users with comprehensive advice and information about their housing rights and the housing options available to them.

North Lincolnshire Council is committed to building upon its successes of working together with partners to help to prevent homelessness wherever possible. Ending homelessness doesn’t mean that no-one will ever lose their home again, but we want to make sure that everyone facing homelessness gets the right service, at the right time, to achieve the right outcome. It means making sure we all have a safe place to live, and together doing everything we can to stop people from losing their homes in the first place. These ambitions are reflected in our Homelessness & Rough Sleeping Strategy 2019-24.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a motivated person with excellent communication skills who can manage their time effectively and prioritise their workload. You should be approachable and non-judgmental with the patience and determination to encourage our customers to achieve their goals employing a person-centred and strength-based approach.

**For an informal discussion please contact**: Camella Moss on 01724 297382 ().

We are collectively organised around the people and place of North Lincolnshire. Together we ensure that our communities are safe, well, prosperous and connected. We are ambitious for North Lincolnshire, we want our area to be the #BestPlace for our residents by being the #BestCouncil we can be. We achieve this through living our values - equality of opportunity, excellence, integrity and self-responsibility - in all that we do.
