**Job Description and Person Specification - ASAN Projects Officer**

**Background**

All Saints Action Network (ASAN) is a registered charity and community development trust that works to improve the quality of life for people who live and work in the All Saints neighbourhood of Wolverhampton. ASAN delivers services for the local community as well as a number of community enterprises that enable the organisation to be financially sustainable and create local employment opportunities. ASAN takes pride both in being a key catalyst for positive change in All Saints as well as being innovative in developing services that deliver real social impact.

**Job Purpose**

The main duties of this post will be the provision of high quality and efficient project management for the Chief Officer and Senior Leadership team. The Project Officer will support the planning and delivery of projects and programmes. The post holder will also support the Chief Officer and the senior managers in embedding project management best practice across the wider organisation.

To provide organisational and administrative support to ensure ASAN funded programmes and other services are delivered effectively; have responsibility for the day to day running of the various projects, including organising resources, supporting volunteers / sessional staff and undertaking project evaluation.

To ensure that projects deliver positive outcomes for people living and working in All Saints and wider as required, especially families from disadvantaged backgrounds.

To deliver ASAN’s role as the key community anchor organisation in All Saints.

The post-holder will contributes to the fund-raising and development of the funding strategy.

This is a new post and as such whilst the duties are identified it is important that the post-holder is versatile and adaptable.

**Duties and responsibilities**

1. To provide a wide range of organisational and administrative support to enable successful delivery of ASAN projects / services to the management team within ASAN.

2. To provide practical support to the delivery of ASAN projects and services including planning and organising resources for workshops and other activities. Setting up and clearing in relation to projects.

3. To provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for staff and visitors using ASAN’s projects and facilities.

4. To support and work closely with volunteers and sessional staff involved with delivering ASAN projects and services.

5. Contribute to project monitoring reports

6. To support ASAN’s projects, enterprises and community services by providing excellent customer service.

7. To actively participate in ASAN marketing activities as directed by the Chief Officer and line manager. With a focus on recruiting local residents to participate in ASAN projects.

8. Responsible for ensuring the effective utilisation of the website and social media.

9. Undertake marketing campaigns as required

10. Undertake research, community and stake-holder engagement as required and produce basic reports with recommendations or findings.

11. To deliver evaluation activities to establish the social, environmental and economic impact of ASAN’s projects and services. Including collation and analysis of impact data using Excel or similar. Producing basic reports demonstrating impact of activities delivered.

12. To assist in the implementation and upkeep of Health and Safety issues across ASAN sites.

13. To undertake such other duties which may be reasonably regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities / grade of the post defined.

14. Comply with ASAN values and all relevant ASAN policies and procedures

**Person Specification Requirements**

**Qualifications/Training**

GCSE in English and Maths, Evidence of working effectively with a range of clients, community and stakeholders,

**Experience**

Administrative experience working in a busy environment

Proven ability in organising events (not essential)

Proven Ability to use social media to increase engagement and promoting initiatives/ projects

**Skills and personal attributes**

Ability to maintain accurate records in relation to project activity

Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure

Excellent IT skills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Flexible approach to a variety of work

Clear, concise and effective communication skills, both oral and written

The ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative as required

Excellent organisational skills

Knowledge of the All Saints area (not essential)

Be able to set up and set down for project activities. Including laying out tables, chairs and equipment.

**Other requirements**

Ability to drive and have access to a motor-vehicle

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to £12,400.00 per year

Expected hours: 18.7 per week
