Aberystwyth, United Kingdom Hywel Dda University Health Board Full time

We are looking to recruit a Health Care Support Worker into our well-established team providing intensive intervention / crisis resolution and home treatment within the Gorwelion Community Mental Health Centre (CMHC) in Aberystwyth.

The role sits within the crisis resolution and home treatment team (CRHTT) and the successful applicant will work with adults (aged 18+) experiencing acute mental distress for up to 6 weeks during periods of mental health crisis. The CRHTT is part of the wider CMHC team providing short and long-term mental health intervention for adults in North Ceredigion.

The role of the support worker within intensive intervention is varied and there are opportunities for staff to develop skills in supporting therapeutic interventions, working under the supervision of a team of experienced senior mental health practitioners. The team includes a number of very experienced support workers who the successful applicant will work alongside.

For informal discussion / further details please contact David McFarlane or Asa Galeozzie.

Working in a compassionate and non-judgemental manner with individuals in acute distress in their own homes, in the community and in health settings.

Delivering low-level short term interventions under the direction of senior practitioners / assistant psychologist to improve psychological wellbeing and resilience of individuals on the team's caseload.

Accurately recording contacts with individuals in clinical notes in a timely manner. Support the senior practitioner to complete all necessary administrative tasks.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Interview will be held on 11/08/23
