Customer Support Engineer

If you are an experienced engineer looking for an exciting new role working with cutting edge defence products then this could be ideal for you

This is a customer facing role where you will be involved in a range of activities including product modifications and upgrades, product safety, trials at customer sites and redesign and reengineering.
You will ideally have a strong mechanical engineering skillset with a background working in a hi reliability sector such as defence, aerospace, automotive, process industries etc.
You will be comfortable dealing with a range of stakeholders and have an analytical approach to problem solving.
This is an interesting and varied role that will give you the chance to work on a range of equipment and be involved in the full lifecycle including customer trials.

Skills and Experience
- 3 - 5+ years’ experience in engineering design and manufacturing
- Analytical approach to problem solving combined with a drive to deliver high quality products
- Familiar with CAD tools
- Proactive customer-focussed attitude
- Engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Able to hold a UK security clearance.
- Experience in a regulated industry, such as defence, medical, automotive, etc
- Experience of Autodesk Inventor or other 3d package
- Comfortable working under pressure and with conflicting priorities
- Knowledge of a variety of engineering design methodologies, including waterfall/V-cycle and agile, iterative approaches
- Experience of certification/qualification testing and trials
