St James’s is a member of the Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi academy trust established in 2017. This is an exciting time to join us as it provides a great opportunity to work closely with the other three schools in the MAT - Bury C of E High School, Canon Slade School and Bolton St Catherine’s Academy; sharing good practice and building on our ongoing progress.

**Main Duties**:

- To ensure that for all stakeholders, school facilities are in excellent and safe condition as a result of the highest possible standards of maintenance and care
- To provide a variety of essential maintenance, health and safety & security functions to aid the smooth running of the school.
- have a conscientious and diligent work ethic
- have high standards and take pride in delivering a quality service
- be able to listen to, understand and follow instructions
- understand health and safety regulations in relation to ensuring safe working practice in undertaking your role
- be willing to undertake training and work flexibly to meet the demands of a continuously improving organisation
- enjoy working as part of a team and be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff;
- quickly build rapport and effective professional relationships with both our young people and colleagues
- enthuse and motivate colleagues and students to work hard and try their best
- previous experience of working within an education setting is desirable but full training will be provided
- demonstrate personal resilience and role model those personal qualities we wish to instill in our young people.

**The working hours will be**:
Mon - Thu 8:30am-4:30pm and Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm

or

Mon - Thu 11.15am-7:15pm and Friday 11:45am - 7:15pm on rotation
