We are looking for experienced science communication/public engagement practitioners or individuals with a higher degree in science communication or related discipline who are interested in teaching science communication at MSc and Honours level. _This job is available part-time, job-share, or full-time. _

**The Opportunity**:
This is an opportunity to become a member of a dynamic teaching team for science communication/public engagement at the University of Edinburgh. You will be involved in teaching, assessment, dissertation supervision and marking, primarily for the on-campus MSc Science Communication and Public Engagement. You may also be required to assist in additional teaching for undergraduate science communication courses on-campus. Please note that teaching for the on-campus programme and undergraduate programmes is in person in Edinburgh. An MSc in Science Communication OR specialist knowledge in science communication and public engagement theory and practice is essential. A higher degree is essential. It would be preferable to have some experience of teaching in Higher Education. IT expertise is required along with good interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism. The part-time and job share posts require flexibility around weekly working hours across semesters i.e. an annualised contract.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Previous experience in a science communication/public engagement employment context or possession of a higher degree in science communication/public engagement or related discipline e.g. Museum Studies.
- A higher degree
- Preferably teaching experience in Higher Education
- Good IT skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- High degree of professionalism
