Unite Students have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join the team in Bristol.

As a Senior UX/UI Designer you'll play a critical role in designing exceptional user experiences. You will be part of a dedicated UX team reporting to the UX/UI design manager.

You will be someone who strives to learn and understand our users' needs, behaviours, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. As a UXr you will be passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity.

You will be working with various stake holders and product owners to understanding their businesses, goals and users' needs, focusing on a customer first mindset. Defining best in class user experiences across a wide and diverse set of innovative projects, both internal and external facing digital solutions.

As a senior you'll be comfortable directing your own activities as well as leading others. Your focus will be on; assisting, planning, leading in delivering best-in-class UX/UI designs, mentoring UX/UI designers in the team, peer reviewing work, ensuring UX processes and methodologies are utilised. You will work closely, and assist if required, dedicated UX researchers/testers to ensure that solutions are based on insight, assumptions are validated and tested using prototypes.

You'll be responsible for running research sessions and workshops with clients, creating user journey maps, user flows and helping define information architecture for complex products and services. You'll also need to be confident in wire-framing and prototyping as with usability testing.

**What you'll be doing**
- The primary focus for this role will be working on our customer facing app. serving over 70,000 students across the UK.
- You will be conceptualising the features within the app with the Product Owner and creating bespoke experiences for the companies and student's needs.
- Ensure a user-centred design approach working collaboratively with UX designers, BAs, POs, and Developers
- Ensure exceptional standards UX and UI design, ensuring brand standards and guidelines are maintained and enhanced across all designs
- Research, ideate and concept UX solutions working closely with Stakeholders, BAs, and POs
- Collaborate and instigate research and user-testing
- Generate user stories, user journeys and flow diagrams, proactively Identifying UX and UI design problems and offer solutions
- Rapidly test and iterate your designs, through sketching, paper prototyping and mind maps quickly iterate through ideas
- Presenting solutions and insight to the wider team/stakeholders
- Translate concepts into; wireframes, mock-ups, hi-fidelity designs, and prototypes
- Design and evolve designs across websites and mobile apps, using a mobile first approach
- Mentoring and peer reviewing the teams work, and defining UX/UI standards with the team

**What we're looking for in you**
- Significant UX/UI design experience, UX principles, UI design best practices and processes, stakeholder engagement
- A portfolio demonstrating high calibre digital design skills, working with material designs
- Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively
- Experience of leading on discovery projects and in planning, facilitating workshops
- Proficient in mobile-first and responsive design
- Proficient of creating low and high-fidelity prototypes
- Strong knowledge of UX/UI software; Figma, Proto.pie, Optimal sort, Userlytics or similar
- HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills/knowledge
- Experienced in accessibility requirements and solutions
- Adept at working within an Agile project development environment
- Collaborative, good communication, strong problem-solving skills
