**Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Compressed Air**
**Purpose of Job; To provide on/off site service /repair/ installation of customer equipment.**
**Salary: Negotiable based on experience.**
**Main Role**:

- Service/Repair Compressed Air Equipment at Customer Sites
- Refurbish air compressors and associated equipment manufactured by various suppliers
- Install and commission new pipework and new and used compressed air equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Attend breakdowns, identify faults and provide and implement engineering solutions
- Service/Repair compressed air tools
- Identify parts requirements for repairs on a job by job basis
- Maintain van stock up to date and in saleable condition
- Ensure completion of tasks within given timescales and to customer satisfaction
- Ensure completion of all routine administrative processes in a timely manner
- Ensure communication of customer comments and any remedial/further requirements take place without delay
- Identify and communicate prospective sales Contribute to the development of the organisation’s quality and efficiency and health and safety standards and any targets
- Complete any other duties as may be allocated from time to time within the scope of the role
**Salary**
Starting Salary Depending on Skills and Experience as per agreed offer.
Thereafter, reviewed periodically based on progress and company performance.
**Bonus Scheme**
Share of 1% compressor parts and pipefittings sold between engineers, paid quarterly in arrears after 6 months successful probationary period to allow for time to become fully operational.
**Discretionary Bonuses**
From time to time, you may receive a discretionary company /team performance bonus depending on Company Performance. Company year end is 30th June each year.
**Hours**
Normal working hours, Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm. One hour allowed for lunch taken at convenient time within those hours. Out of hours call out and Sat/Sunday work required from time to time or with one in four weekends on call. Overtime worked will be paidfor this at time and a half weekdays/Saturdays, double time on Sunday/Bank holiday. Normal working time excludes travelling to and from normal place of work.
**Holiday**
20 days with 3 days reserved for the Company Christmas closure. 8 Bank Holidays and Public Holidays additional.
Holiday period commences 1st Jan.
NB - An engineering team rota to cover holidays is required.
**Company Sick Pay Scheme**
The company operates a 4 week sick pay scheme in any 12 month rolling period. Qualifying period of 6 months full attendance.
**Pension**
The company operates a contributory pension scheme in line with Government legislation. The Pension Fund is held with the Peoples Partnership Pension Scheme.
**Other Benefits**
Annual clothing allowance to contribute towards personal preference for style/fit within scope of company guidance on suitability, commencing 1 July annually.
Annual tool replacement allowance commencing 1 July annually
Mobile phone provided - use is within scope of company contract allowance for phone. Laptop/Tablet as needed for the role.
Company van provided - to be used for commuting as well as daily jobs. The vehicle is fitted with a tracker for insurance, safety and for planning work.
Company shirts, overalls and PPE supplied.
**Training**
An in house induction programme will be completed and training on manufacturers equipment, as required via a learning link and occasional class room training. If necessary, training programmes run by the British Compressed Air Society will be attended and otherspecialist courses as required at venues in the UK and on via on line training as needed.
