IT Support Assistant

Overview:
Join our IT team as an IT Support Assistant, where your expertise will be crucial in offering first-level technical support for our computer systems, hardware, software and websites. Your role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, as well as implementing effective solutions.
Work Schedule:
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with occasional after-hours work to meet the company's operational requirements.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure continuous operation and address technical issues across our IT landscape.
- Offer first-level support to staff and clients, resolving technical concerns efficiently.
- Conduct hardware maintenance and replacements as needed.
- Assist second-level support with documentation, reporting, and problem-solving.
- Liaise with external service providers for issue resolution.
- Manage user accounts and assist with access-related queries.
- Prioritize and handle various IT issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist with website maintenance and content updates.
- Support data and system backups and recovery processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for IT inquiries, providing immediate help or escalating complex issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of IT incidents and service requests.
- Execute routine checks for IT system integrity and performance.
- Address network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and LAN.
- Educate staff on IT systems, security protocols, and best practices.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of IT assets and supplies.
- Contribute to IT documentation, including procedures, knowledge bases, and FAQs.
- Participate in testing system updates and new developments, and refining disaster recovery plans.
- Support the IT Manager with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Sage200, Oracle NetSuite (Or other ERP Systems), Magento, WordPress, and various Microsoft products.
- Solid background in IT support or a related discipline with robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize tasks efficiently, with a proactive mindset.
- Strong communication abilities, fluency in English, and the capacity to educate and assist team members.
- Dedicated to ongoing personal and professional IT development.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
