Eastbourne, United Kingdom SDR Full time

SDR Care is a growing business with care homes situated on the South Coast. We pride ourselves on investing in our people and we are committed to the UK Living Wage Foundation. We aim to continuously train and develop our staff to enable them to reach their full potential within our collaborative and supportive team.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our new team as a Bank Support Worker for our homes in Eastbourne. The homes specialise in person-centred care for people with learning difficulties and autism.

If you are looking for flexible hours that would suit your home and work life, or if you are working part time and looking for additional hours; this role may be perfect for you. We can offer you the flexibility in a bank role, with the opportunity to see if this is the right role, before committing to a permanent position.

You might have experience of working in a similar environment, but this is not essential as training will be provided. You will be a great addition to the team if you enjoy working and interacting with people, have the right personality and share the same values as us. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, effective communicators, with high standards of care, and who are sensitive to the needs of people with learning disabilities.

The nature of this job role means that your hours of work will be at the discretion of the company and will depend on the needs of the business. The company does not, however, guarantee to provide any minimum amount of work in any given week or month of the year. You are also not obliged to accept any shifts offered to you by the company.

If you are looking for more security but still some flexibility, we may be able to offer part-time peripatetic roles, ask us about this opportunity.

The role follows a varied shift pattern including weekdays and weekends; a flexible approach to work is essential. You may be required to work sleep-in shifts, for which we pay £50 per night.

**Can you**:
Provide a customised, responsive, and high-quality service to a person with Autism and sensory needs?

**Are you**:

- passionate about providing the highest quality of care
- a caring and supportive person
- able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- aspiring to grow your career
- resilient and calm

**In return, you can expect**:

- a salary of £10.90 per hour
- sleep in shifts paid at £50 per night (the possibility to earn additional £2,000-£4,000 per year, depending on the number of sleep ins you can do)
- enhanced pay for working bank holidays
- an annual bonus, based on company performance
- holiday pay
- a company pension scheme where eligible
- group life insurance (where eligible)
- wellbeing benefits
- a collaborative and supportive induction process
- continuing professional development
- support towards achieving your Care Certificate, Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care
- in house specialist Autism training
- a £500 bonus each, if you refer a friend (or ex colleague) according to terms and conditions

**Our Values form an integral part of our business and as such we would seek applicants that can demonstrate**:
**Kindness, Dignity & Respect**

Integral to the culture of our Company; treat people with kindness, dignity, and respect then our work will be rewarding and fulfilling.

**Calmness**

Every decision we make is better when made with a calm and composed approach; calmness helps us to manage the challenges and demands we face.

**Creativity**

Embrace creativity to find innovative solutions in our work.

**Responsibility**

Take responsibility for our own actions, attitude, impact, and career development.

Should you be successful, we will contact you to complete an online Disclosure & Barring Service check (DBS) on acceptance of your offer letter.
