Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team.

As a Tutor, you will work closely with 16 - 18 year old or 19-24 year old (with an EHCP) students to provide personalised academic support and guidance. Your role will involve assessing students' needs, delivering employability skills, customer service standards and visiting and supporting the learner in their work experience placement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to create individualized learning plans
- Develop engaging and interactive lesson materials to enhance student understanding
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to explain complex concepts and ensure comprehension
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Communicate with parents or guardians to provide updates on student performance
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to support student learning
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or currently pursuing a degree)
- Previous experience working as a Tutor or in a similar educational role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively engage and motivate students of all ages
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Experience working with special education students is a plus
- Passion for education and a desire to help students succeed

You will be required to work across the Porstmouth region, be willing to work in classroom setting some of the week, use Microsoft teams for follow up contact and travel to see the learner in their placement setting. The aim of this role, is to help the learner have a successful outcome and be ready for employment or begin an apprenticeship.

You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS and eligibility to work in the UK

Pay: £28,000.00-£34,749.38 per year
