**Job description**:
The purpose of the role is to ensure that you are working to support the long-term strategy of the travel and expense workstream:
The role requires the post holder to manage their workload, to meet service level agreements, whilst ensuring that corporate targets are delivered.
The post holder will play a key role in developing a deserved reputation for excellent customer service.
In line with HO Hybrid Working policy, this post can be based at any of the locations listed and there will be flexibility to adopt a hybrid working pattern which would see the post holder spend 40% of their week in the office, with the remainder working from home.
Due to business requirements, this post is part-time only (28 hours per week). Flexible working is available.
Travel in the UK, with occasional overnight stays, may be necessary.
**Person specification**:
The post holder will be responsible for the following key tasks - each role will include some but not all of the following, dependent upon the balance of work and business requirements:
- Providing responses to queries from the expense auditors in relation to, ‘out of policy’, staff expenses
- Providing advice to Home Office business units on travel, expenses, gifts and hospitality, policy related queries
- Travel and Expense (T&E) card queries, and considering requests to increase the T&E card limit
- Manual expense claim form service requests
- The Corporate Travel Management Joiners, Leavers and Movers process
- Supporting all areas of the Home Office P2P Processes, including quality assurance of requisitions, holds resolution, and call centre queries
- The post holder may be required to undertake additional responsibilities as expected in relation to the role and grade.
**Essential skills**
Excellent Customer Service skills
- Ability to manage workload, ensuring service level agreements are met
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite, as a minimum intermediate excel skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
**Desirable criteria**
- Experience with financial and / or finance transactional systems to record, report and monitor financial transactions
- Experience of working in a team, in a fast paced environment
- Good knowledge of public sector finance processes and procedures
- Experience of using Oracle Business Intelligence
- Experience of working in a policy area and documenting processes.
