We are looking for a Design Associate Director to join our site in Sherburn. You will be responsible for the running of a busy Design Team, this will require close working with peers to ensure adequate and appropriate engineering resources is allocated to support the Performance of programme that they are allocated.

Key Responsibilities:

- Programme and financial aspect of running a busy design office - training, recruitment, staff management
- Adhering to group standards
- Supporting various departments within the business
- sales and estimating, drawing office, project management
- Maintaining standards and procedures - ensuring compliance
- Resource, appoint and manage a sublet design team
- Coaching, mentoring and guiding of a team of graduates and more junior engineers
- Responsibility to educate team on current standards, ensuring compliance
- Co-ordinating with other departments - including construction, production and sales and estimating.
- Ultimate responsibility for Health and Safety - ensuring accuracy of the design team

Required Educational Background & Experience:

- Degree and Masters Educated
- Chartered Engineer more structural
- Istructe
- Institute of Structural Engineers and Civil Engineers
- Minimum 10-15 years experience working in design team in a structural steel background

The Working Hours for this role are: Monday - Thursday 8.15 - 17.00 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, Friday 8.15- 15.00 with a 45 minute lunch break.
