We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, passionate and motivated nurse or allied health professional to join our newly commissioned CAMHS Responsive Assessment and Intensive Support Team (RAIS)

The role is in a new part of the service to provide responsive and timely intervention for a small but significant complex number of young people who may require a rapid assessment and intervention.

The service is been developed to meet the needs of an increasing number of young people presenting with complex needs who are seeking a responsive assessment on a paediatric ward or other place of safety.

You will be a dynamic and forward thinking person who is prepared to meet the challenges of a new element of our service, having the skills to manage and influence these changes, whilst providing guidance and co-ordination of the team.

An ability to assess, formulate and intervene from a multi-theoretical perspective is a must as is the ability to work with young people and families from ethnically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

As a Band 7 Clinical Co-ordinator, you will assume responsibility for a dedicated area of care and work as a shift co-ordinator as well as a senior clinician when required. The team will work 7 days a week 8am-8pm currently but are looking to expand the hours to 8am-10pm by 2024. Therefore shifts and weekend working are part of the working practice.

Main duties of the job
- To direct and oversee the day to day delivery of clinical services provided by the RAIS Team which is inclusive of self-harm, ward based and community responses.
- Ensuring that the Operational Lead is fully aware of significant day to day issues through effective and proactive agreed communication.
- To contribute to the clinical management of the team’s caseload of clients with complex needs, using CPA principles, evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions delivered both in our hospitals and in the community

The service currently operates across all Pennine Lancashire sites. The role involves travel between sites and in the community, so access to private transport for work purposes is essential.

The service offers placements for trainees in core Psychiatry and General Practice; higher specialty trainees in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry; and students from a wide range of disciplines including nursing and clinical psychology. You will be expected to contribute to the overall training offered within the service and to outside agencies. There are good links with the Universities of Manchester, Liverpool and Central Lancashire.
- Work as a clinical coordinator within the specialist CAMHS RAIS (Responsive Assessment and Intensive Team).
- Ensure and participate in service provision from 8:00 - 22:00 seven days a

week (on a rota basis) to assess and provide short term intensive intervention for complex young people.
- Co-ordinate and participate in the day to day running of a designated RAIS

team and provide support to clinical staff.
- Provide services in a various community and hospital based environments.
- Work across a variety of teams when required provide senior advice and

leadership across the ELCAS service when required.
