Burgess and Hyder are looking for a Hygiene Therapist to join our team working one day a week on a temporary maternity cover contract.

You will be:

- Working Tuesdays / Thursdays (Additional adhoc days may be available depending on capacity)
- Starting from September 2023
- Preventative dental health and the treatment of gum disease
- Undertaking routine dental fixes of deciduous and permanent teeth
- Extracting deciduous teeth
- Building on and developing an established and loyal patient list
- Highest standards of professional cleaning and patient and clinical care
- Support of an experienced and qualified team

The Burgess & Hyder Stanhope practice was established in 2006 to provide high quality dental care. There is 1 treatment rooms and a team which comprises 2 dentists, 1 dental therapist, 1 dental hygienist, 1 nurses, 1 receptionist and a practice manager.

Situated in the heart of the community within the Medical Centre, accessible from the A689, dedicated on-site parking and disabled parking.

What we need from you:

- GDC registration
- Valid indemnity cover and DBS check
- Fully compliant with a good understanding of CQC
- Vaccinated against Hepatitis B
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork ability with an enthusiastic attitude
- Passion for continuous learning and development
- 3+ years experience as a Dental Hygiene Therapist

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 7 per week

**Salary**: £30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bishop Auckland: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Dental Hygienist Therapist: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- GDC Registration (required)
