Please note this role is for our late shift which operates between 4pm and 1.15am

**Profile**

As well as being part of the production team working alongside colleagues to produce our high-quality door sets the Workshop Shift Leader will oversee and supervise the shift workflow.

**Main responsibilities**
- Supervision of shift Workshop Operatives, allocation of tasks to ensure achievement of KPI’s and utilising LEAN concepts to drive process improvement, data analysis, and standardisation.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards including wearing of safety wear/equipment as required. Fully support and comply with all ISO quality, and health & safety, ensuring each employee has been signed off on processes and machinery before being allocated.
- Ensure production is efficient and that targets, quality standards and housekeeping metrics are met and recorded.
- Maintain quality through the process and ensure quality checks are completed, reacts to quality issues, communicates to production manager, and implements corrective action.
- Inducting and training new production employees on the process workflows, and to provide feedback to Production Manager for performance reviews.
- Supervising employees, assigning duties, and creating a shift schedule and providing coaching and development feedback ensuring duties are performed as per work instructions.
- Reporting any issues that arise during the shift to Production Manager/Controller
- Conducting communication of day shift ‘huddle’ content to late shift.

**Key stills**

As a production team leader working in a manufacturing environment, you should be able to operate, troubleshoot and perform small repairs on machines and have an excellent understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Demonstrate strong ‘hands on’ skills and ability to understand key processes.
- Trouble shooting skills on machinery and systems of work/processes.
- Constant drive and passion to improve current processes and meet deadlines.
- Showcase good leadership and motivation skills to lead different people with different abilities and personalities.

**Renumeration**

We offer a generous salary of £30,000 to £32,000 as well as other benefits including:
