About the role
Are you ready to make a real difference to the lives of children, young people, and families navigating the complexities of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We're seeking a dynamic individual who can think outside the box, understand the intricacies of SEND, and is driven to achieve positive outcomes. As a SEND IASS Senior Caseworker, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our team and ensuring that every child and young person receives the support they deserve.
What will you be doing?
As a SEND IASS Senior Caseworker, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the development and delivery of the service in North Northants. Additionally, you will support and guide a team of SEND IASS caseworkers in their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Casework Support**: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the team of SEND IASS caseworkers in their day-to-day responsibilities. Assist them in effectively addressing the needs and concerns of service users.

- **Training and Development**: Research, develop, and deliver training sessions, workshops, and informational resources for service users, statutory services, voluntary agencies, schools, and related organisations. Empower stakeholders with the knowledge and tools necessary to support children and young people with SEND effectively.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that service users have access to the services and support they need. Build strong relationships with statutory services, voluntary agencies, schools, and other organisations to facilitate a coordinated approach to SEND support.
- **Voice of Children and Young People**: Work towards developing SEND IASS to actively support and amplify the voices of children and young people with SEND. Create opportunities for them to express their views, preferences, and aspirations regarding their education, health, and social care provision.
