Forensic Medical Examiner

To carry out medical and forensic examinations in accordance with Mountain Healthcare guidelines and, at all times, within the scope of his/her professional registration. To assist the Court in all relevant medico-legal matters. To practice as an independent medical practitioner exercising an independent clinical judgement. This is closely supervised in the OOPE year.
To treat all service users with courtesy, consideration and give appropriate treatment as expected within any doctor/patient relationship in another setting. Maintain current knowledge of any guidelines and publications produced by the British Medical Association, the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine (FFLM) or the Police. An understanding of and sensitive to the child's developmental, social and emotional needs and their intellectual level.
