We are currently recruiting for a Technical Assistant to join our **Parkhouse site in Staffordshire**.**

**Responsible for**:
**Quality, Environmental and Energy Assurance testing and data acquisition and analysis.**

**Role summary**

The successful applicant will be a key member of the Technical department delivering excellent time based data and information using appropriate test methods of materials retrieved from across the manufacturing site/ quarry and providing the support to maintain relevant test methods and infrastructure of the laboratory.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sampling/ testing, and analysis of all process materials and finished product.
- Carry out functional QA, environmental and energy tasks.
- Collation and processing of daily, weekly and monthly data and information in accordance with Current quality, environmental and energy systems.
- Ensure the laboratory is maintained to the highest standards of 5S housekeeping and the requirements of Health and safety at work and work within the SSOP system.
- Assist and develop SSOP and risk assessments.

**Education and requirements**:

- Mathematics and English GCSE with an advantage with Chemistry or Physics or relevant experience.
- Computer literacy with working ability of intermediate Excel and word.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability, flexibility, enthusiasm and some self-initiative working as part of a team.
- Ability to collate, sort and convert data into information.
- Self-discipline and the ability to multitask.
- Experience in performing QA checks.
