A great career opportunity to join a globally operating automated material handling equipment supplier as an IT Support Technician.

As an IT Support Technician, you will work in a small team and be supporting customers automated distribution centres with technical IT support for automated material handling systems and software. You will use a selection of tools to perform problem solvingand troubleshooting. Generally, 1st and 2nd level support.

Training will be provided on bespoke systems and there is great future career potential for the right individual.

**Benefits**:

- Salary c£27k to £33k dependent on experience
- Shift based role - Mon to Fri 3 shifts (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm to 6am)
- 25% Hybrid working available after 6 month probabtion period.
- Pension = 3% employee, 6% employer
- Death in Service benefit

**Key Tasks of IT Support Technician**:

- Take calls from various customer sites on IT issues relating to automated material handling equipment.
- Assist to resolve issues with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and material flow systems.
- Assist to identify issues that are mechanical, or IT based and escalate to the appropriate team.
- Train internal and external customers to increase system knowledge, resolve and prevent issues from recurring
- Participate in customer and internal meetings.
- Assist software development team with projects.
- Works as part of international team to ensure maximum system uptime and performance.

**Qualification / skills requirements of IT Support Technician**:

- Ideally degree qualified, or HNC / HND in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work.
- Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, My SQL, SQL Server) (essential)
- Hardware knowledge (desirable)
- Skills in the following are desirable;- Incident/Escalation management
- Scripting (VBS/VBA/PHP/PowerShell)
- Programming (C++, C#, Java, VB, etc)
- Advanced DB (Stored Procedures, SQL optimisation, DB administration, etc)
- Web (ASP.Net, PHP, CGI, etc)
