Senior Electrical Design Engineer

**Salary**: £45-£50k depending on experience
Electrical design of control systems of new machines, retrofits, upgrades, issuing of electrical BOMs and supporting the electrical machine build.
Key Accountabilities:
Attending project meetings to understand the electrical design requirements
Creation of electrical schematics in AutoCAD Electrical
Electrical design of machinery in line with customer requirements and user specifications
Creation of electrical bills of material (BOM)
Liaising with the other design teams to ensure accurate and optimal electrical designs
Perform calculations for the design and operation of machine safety circuits in line with BS EN ISO 13849-1 and BS EN ISO 13849-2
Provide technical support to the shop floor teams during panel and machine construction
Provide technical support to customers who have electrical issues with machines
Complete in-house documentation as part of commitment to quality such as test plans, validation documents etc.
Effectively liaise with in-house personnel as required to resolve build and design issues

**Education**:
Recognised qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering i.e. HNC/HND - degree preferred
**Experience**:
Electrical engineering background
Electrical certification for working with 3 phase installations
High level of experience in electrical design of machinery
Experience of using an Electrical design package i.e. AutoCAD electrical, EPlan, SolidWorks etc.
Experience of panel building and wiring of machinery
Experience in commissioning production lines
Experience in line validation and completing validation documentation
Experience of using AutoCAD electrical design package

**Skills**:Ability to fault find machines and implement reliable solutions
Ability to look for and recommend features for product development to improve the product range
Fully conversant with MS Office
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
