**Mechanical Engineer - £38K - £42K - Basingstoke - Automotive/Electric Vehicles**

I’m currently recruiting for a leading technology company that specialises in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical devices and systems for a number of industries. They are looking for a hands-on, skilled, and forward-thinking Mechanical Engineerwith an Automotive background to join an expanding EV Team. Due to the expansion of the business you will have the opportunity to work on exciting new projects at early-stage development as well as developing the current product line.

**Main Duties Include**:
+ Hands-On manufacturing

+ Some 2D/3D CAD design

+ Liaising with clients and customers for new and existing products

+ Prototyping and testing

+ Oversee, mentor and assist junior engineers

**Skills and Experience Required**:
+ Minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Degree preferred)

+ Minimum of 3 years experience designing/manufacturing Automotive or Electric Vehicle components

+ Experience with high precision electro-mechanical manufacturing (preferred)

+ Knowledge and experience of the automotive APQP process steps required.

+ Knowledge, experience and use of advanced measurement and analysis methods including CSAM, X-Ray, Digital Microscopy, Laser Scanning etc

Salary will be between £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience. The company also has a wide range of benefits including a bonus scheme, annual salary reviews and life assurance etc.
