**Job overview**

The post would primarily cover the Walsall and Sandwell localities, but you would be expected to liaise and support our Wolverhampton and Dudley teams.

Your role would be to provide evidence-based family interventions to service users and their families.

You would work as an integrated part of the MDT, and co-work families with other team members.

The role would also include supervision of clinical staff in line with NCAP standards, alongside leading inhouse training in family work.

**Main duties of the job**

In adherence with NICE Guidelines, the post-holder will provide evidence-based Family Intervention for Psychosis (FI) sessions for EIP patients and their families.

Working closely with the Service Manager you will support the delivery of interventions such as behavioural family therapy (BFT) in the 4 EIP teams through the offer of training, individual and group supervision and advice and guidance to the MDTs. Where required you will also jointly deliver interventions with complex cases to support care coordinators and the clinical team. The post holder will also support the Service Manager in improving the offer of structured, evidence based carer support with consideration of how we deliver carer groups both face to face and virtually.

To be responsible for data collection and overview of work completed, service needs and audit.

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**

Act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and promote the benefits of family work within an EIP service
- Ensure a systematic approach is in place for the delivery of family intervention and carer support across the four EIP teams
- Support the Service Manager with job planning and caseload management / supervision in regards to family interventions being a key deliverable for all care coordinators
- Work alongside the Service Manager to promote and role model best practice regarding family and carer interventions as well as those of care coordination
- Use their initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients and how they support colleagues
- Use advanced expertise and knowledge to support management of the most complex cases.
- Lead on the delivery of individual and group supervision in relation to family and carer interventions as well as providing guidance to MDT’s on best approaches to complex cases

**Essential criteria**
- Registered Nurse, OT, or Social worker
- Significant post registration experience working with families
- Significant post registration experience working with people who have experienced psychosis
- Trained in Behavioural Family Therapy
- Qualified to deliver BFT supervision and training

**Desirable criteria**
- Experience in working in EIP
- experience of leading audit

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £41,659.00-£47,672.00 per year
