School Counsellor

We are a multi award winning organisation and you will be part of that journey and apart of a team of therapists who are passionate about mental health and wellbeing and providing a gold standard service.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified therapist to work within an alternative provision supporting children and young people with their mental wellbeing. You must be able to use a variety of therapeutic interventions, such as play, art, drama, sand play, Lego therapy as well as talking therapy, teaching them strategies and coping mechanisms that they can use in all aspects of life;
You will work closely with the school to develop a programme of therapeutic interventions to support those pupils who are struggling with their mental health and have been moved from mainstream school for a variety of reasons;
Liaising with and supporting the school staff and families, to ensure a systemic collaborative whole school approach to best support the pupils;
Writing clinical notes, planning sessions and updating schools internal systems.

**Salary**: From £20.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Psychotherapy: 1 year (preferred)
