**The role**:
We are looking to recruit an individual into a 12-month fixed term contract as a Family Time Worker, within the Family Time team across Warrington. This role is based within the Families First team that is located within the Children in Care and Care Leavers Service. The post holder will work closely within the Family Time team situated within the wider Families first team to deliver, observe, intervene when required and record family time sessions for those children and young people in care.

The role will involve holding a varied, and at times changeable caseload of looked after children within this family time worker role. Successful applicants will be the designated professional for children are no longer living with their biological family and where it is paramount that these children continue to have positive relationships with members of their family, unless this would place them at risk. Your role would ensure the safety and positive family times are taking place in accordance with court and child's wishes.

Within the Families First team you will work alongside the social work teams to review and provide high quality family time which will ensure the safety and welfare of children and young people whilst maintaining their family relationships and identity. You will work within the family time team where you will be provided with regular supervision, access to direct line management, training and support so you are best equipped to undertake the role confidently and effectively. You will be expected to work flexibly, over 37 hours between 9am and 6 pm, in response to children in care plans.

We have a great workspace here in Warrington with hubs and pods which provide a great environment to work, furthermore, with cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. In addition, since the pandemic we have reviewed our working practice and now offer opportunities to work from home as part of the working week where appropriate to do so within the role.

**Key Information**:
**Essential Qualifications**: A minimum of a NVQ Level 3 in Social Care, Child Development or equivalent

**Base**: Warrington Time Square Office (mixture of working from children and community centres across the town, office and home)

**Working Hours**: 37 hours per week flexibly between 9am and 6pm.

Warrington Borough Council is a Disability confident employer.

DBS clearance is required.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
