Applications are invited from General Practitioners registered with the General Medical Council. This post is based in the Institute of Education in healthcare and medical Sciences, part of the School of Medicine, medical sciences and nutrition. The post holder will therefore be part of a team with an international reputation in medical education. Based on one of the biggest health campuses in Europe, our students benefit from a systems-based integrated approach. You will work with the General Practice and Community Medical Education (GPCME) team as a Senior Clinical Lecturer; Year 1 GP Lead (Maternity Cover). The post holder’s main responsibilities will encompass teaching, assessment, recruitment and line management of team members, pastoral care of students, evaluation of teaching and curriculum development for Year 1 of the MBChB course.

There has been a significant increase in the amount of General Practice teaching in the Curriculum and we continue to develop novel ways of delivering that. The post holder will be expected to contribute to this.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Clinical salary scale for GPs, 20% of £103,241 per annum, pro-rata.
