Job Purpose

The Project Officer will be responsible for leading on projects and change across the UKIB banking function with specific focus on the pipeline and procurement of due diligence services. They will ensure these projects deliver outcomes in support of the banking teams objectives and that this is enabled using the full capabilities of the Operations team.

Core role accountabilities:
- Provide project management capability supporting the banking function in UKIB- Specific focus on the due diligence requirement and their project management through the procurement processes, ensuring requirements are identified at the appropriate time and then managed through the process- This is to include triaging due diligence requests, aligning to banking pipeline, reporting, identifying trends and ensuring the required outcomes to deliver deal team requirements- Track the delivery of the required services and consultancy to meet deal timelines, tracking and updating stakeholders- Create and lead projects to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints, specifically supporting the UKIB banking and investments team-
- Provide wider support to banking team to capture projects, reporting requirements and improvements - acting as conduit between banking and wider COO team- Lead the gathering of requirements for a range of projects, ensuring they are validated, signed off and represent the key stakeholder needs.- Build effective stakeholder relationships across UKIB to facilitate the requirements of the banking team- Use the appropriate frameworks and gateways for change governance.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience requirements:

- Knowledge:_- Knowledge of project management processes and approaches- Knowledge of how to report on a portfolio of work that that includes status updates and milestones, including financial controls where required- Knowledge of procurement processes and how they are delivered including the required controls, including ideally public sector procurement-
- Knowledge of how to assess the impact of change on an organisation and use to develop plans to implement effectively.
- Experience:_- Experience of delivering change within a multi-functional team- Experience of best in class procurement processes and governance- Proven ability to manage cost/benefits analysis in projects.- Proven relationship management capabilities- Delivering multiple types of change (IT, process, people)
- Skills - required:_- Exceptional ability to manage and govern a portfolio of change, including clear reporting and accountability for outcomes- Ability to manage business requirements into a public sector procurement framework- Ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment- Excellent communication and influencing skills - verbal and written - with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to report on complex information concisely.- Qualification in programme/project management- Proficiency in MS Office- Personal ownership to continually learn- Experience of leading projects with influencing to executive levels
- Skills - desirable:_- Evidence of working within change management framework and/or methodologies- Business process mapping capability- Experience of working across public sector procurement processes
