This is a great job opportunity for a Community Housing Assistant to join Home Groups awesome housing team covering our Oxfordshire Oxford, Didcot, Thame and Witney. As our Community Housing Assistant (CHA) you’re the face to face customer support to our communities. If you like variety, meeting and supporting customers, and want to develop a career in housing, then this is the perfect job for you

You’ll support our housing managers to look after their patches. Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities. This will help us to improve our local neighbourhoods.

You’ll support with tasks such as managing our voids processes which includes liaising with local authorities, estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site. You’ll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities. You’ll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

**About you**
- Have a “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.
- Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners
- The cherry on the cake would be if you understand housing management, housing law and universal credit too, but it's not a deal breaker
- Confident using technology to use systems and update records etc
- Like being part of a team but appreciate that this is a role where you’ll spend most of your time working in our local estates.

**About our team**

You’ll join our friendly and dedicated team and will soon discover that we support each other as much as we support our customers. We have a wealth of experience which will enable us to support you as you settle into your new role.

We work hard but have fun too and we are looking forward to sharing our skills and knowledge with you

Our wider team comprises of our Operations Manager, Housing Managers, other Community Housing Assistants and caretakers but you’ll also work closely with colleagues from our Maintenance teams, Fire Health and Safety, and Finance teams.

**Job details**
- Hybrid working mostly in your community patches of Oxfordshire Oxford, Didcot, Thame and Witney
- Admin work can be done from home or a local office a day or so a week
- The wider team get together to connect and support each other once a week or so.
- You'll manage your own diary which may include working the occasional evening.
- There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
- You’re able to drive and have access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use
- **Need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. We pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.**
