Site Facilities and Building Maintenance Engineer

Site Facilities and Maintenance Engineer, permanent career opportunity for an established facilities and maintenance engineer to join a global logistics employer in Swindon. Working on a full time basis, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 16.00pm, this varied andrewarding position is offered at a salary of £35,000 plus exceptional employee benefits and further training, certification and development.
Ideally, your career to date will evidence a proven track record of site facilities management, working to ensure that both planned and preventative site and building maintenance is carried out to the highest of standards. Your ability to carry our generalelectrical, plumbing and mechanical repair and maintenance is key to the success of this role, in some cases working with specialist contractors and external suppliers for critical internal/external site and building works.
As the Site Facilities and Maintenance Engineer, you will conduct on site inductions with visitors to site, supervising external contractors and working to strict Health and Safety regulations. You will provide full 'hands on' operational support for thebuilding, the kitchen (catering services), machinery and other site equipment, choosing only to sub-contract if there is a specific requirement. Due to the size of the facility, there is a need to ensure that the roof and all external areas are cleaned andmaintained, therefore you will receive full H & S training in order to complete these tasks, this will include the operation of a cherry picker lift.
Naturally in line with energy and environmental responsibilities, there is a need to ensure that all recycling elements are handled correctly, compliantly and in line with the recycling provider service level agreement. This does involve the physical wastesegregation and separation of products in line with recycling requirements, the movement of products within the facility and the correct removal of all waste and recycling in the appropriate containers. You will have the opportunity to use your Fork Lift Truckskills, due to the internal movement of products in the warehouse, this is to ensure that all racking and warehouse storage facilities are checked in line with site maintenance requests.
As the Site Facilities and Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with all sub-contractors who are responsible for making regular site visits in line with service level agreements, including fire safety equipment, lighting, water sprinklers, alarmsand kitchen appliances. A very busy and physically active role, which will use all of your proven skills and allow for plenty of development and career progression.
