The individual design reflects York's rich chocolate heritage of the chocolate founding families, Rowntree, Terry and Craven, and the city's stonework resonates throughout the hotel. Every room is stylish and uniquely designed to create a comfortable and inviting environment for guests. Our No. 88 Walmgate restaurant is the proud winner of IHG Best Breakfast not once - but twice

This role is key in delivering the 'wow' factor to our guests as and when they interact with you in the Food & Beverage areas. You will support the efficient and effective service delivery of the Hotel Indigo bar and restaurant during key business hours. Work in line with the brand standards following all the necessary procedures to ensure maximum satisfaction for guests.

The main focus is on delivering great customer service, working a mixture of shift patterns to cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner service as per the rota and business demands.

You will be fully trained and welcomed to the hotel, and supported throughout your journey, with rewarding development on offer during your journey and training plan

This role is 12 hours per week. Four hour shifts over 3 days and will be a mix of early shifts, working on our breakfast service and late shifts, working on bar.

Hotel Indigo, York hotel is a unique and trendy hotel set in the heart of York. The hotel boasts 103 unique bedrooms, with a funky and trendy Restaurant and Bar named No.88 Walmgate.
The team is very passionate, enthusiastic, and very energetic The culture in the hotel is very important, and that is; trying to deliver the Hotel’s goals and objectives whilst at the same time creating a fun and great work/life balance for all
York Train station is easily accessible, the hotel is a 12 minute walk from the Train Station. There are plenty of drop off points all throughout York for bus routes in and out of the city, with a main bus route running past the hotel on Walmgate.

**Role in our Family**:
Within Guest Service Assistant, key to your role is:

- To operate the Food & Beverage areas during your shifts
- Attend to guests needs and queries
- Follow Brand standards and procedures
- Deliver the best customer service, with a 'can do ' attitude
- To clearly communicate with other departments to ensure mínimal impact on guest service
- To promote Brand Loyalty and encourage guests to sign up to the loyalty program
- To ensure that all monies are kept in a safe and secure area adopting the hotels cash handling procedures
