We are recruiting a Kitchen Porter to join the catering team at beautiful Caythorpe Court, our activity centre in Lincolnshire, near Grantham. Reporting to the Head Chef, your role is important in keeping the children at PGL fed, refuelled and ready for adventure

**THE ROLE**

You’ll focus on catering deliveries and food storage:

- Being responsible for our food storage areas including dry stores, walk-in fridges and freezers.
- Checking all food deliveries into the catering department (including checking allergen information)
- Communicating with delivery drivers
- Stock management and rotation (includes manual handling)
- Monitoring and recording storage temperatures and informing the catering management team of any issues.
- Maintaining clean and hygienic food storage areas through deep cleaning and the safe use of chemicals.
- Supporting the Chef team with defrosting and product labelling

**IS THIS YOU?**
- Has experience in delivering high levels of customer service
- Able to prioritise talks and manage time effectively
- A team player who enjoys working in a friendly collaborative environment
- A confident English speaker
- Experience working in catering and/or with children is a bonus, but not essential as training will be provided. You’ll also be required to have an enhanced DBS check.
