We currently have an opportunity for a Planning Consultant to join our Planning Department based at our Head Office in Shrewsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding and fast-paced department within a renowned, marketing leading company. The full-time position is a long-term role managing a varied caseload, with considerable opportunity for career progression.

**Responsibilities**
- Be responsible for the delivery of a wide-range of planning services across the residential, commercial, leisure**,** and agricultural sectors.
- Liaise with technical specialists and represent clients at committee, appeal hearings**,** and local plan examinations.
- Support clients to navigate the planning system to achieve successful outcomes.
- Work with clients in land promotion and strategic land allocation across the Midlands.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant degree in planning (or studying towards) with the applied knowledge of the planning and development process.
- Ideally holding or working towards chartered membership of the RTPI.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with longstanding clients.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload whilst ensuring the highest level of service is provided.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using the necessary Microsoft Office Suite.
- Have a full UK driving licence.
