To provide comprehensive and pro-active administrative support; ensuring that all administrative processes and tasks are undertaken efficiently, effectively and to a high standard, contributing to the smooth running of the Wheelchair Service.

This role will be based across two sites; Wheelchair Assessment Service and the Prosthetic Service both based as the Re-Enablement Services Centre and the Wheelchair Repair Service, based at Hellesdon.

This role is part of an administration team that works closely with the clinical team based at the Re-Enablement Services Centre whilst also liaising with the Wheelchair Repair Team (admin and field engineers). The Wheelchair Assessment administration team support the patient pathway by ensuring that all referrals are processed and appointments are booked within the relevant time frames. The Wheelchairs Repair Service book patients into repair appointment slots when required, and contact patients when planned maintenance is due to take place. The administration team are also the first port of all call for answering patient queries via the telephone. At all times this role will ensure that quality is maintained, and that processes and procedures are followed to enable a clear audit trail.
