**Job Description**:
The newly created International Tax Director role will provide leadership support in a Global tax team. Joining the team at a pivotal time at the start of our transformation journey. Reporting to the Global Head of Treasury & Tax and responsible for designing and leading our International Tax Strategy, Global tax reporting & compliance and oversight of our Global Tax Advisors in a co-source environment. Critical for this role is experience leading and operating in / with a high-growth multinational group driving Global tax strategy and compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Global Head of Treasury & Tax in delivering clear strategic and commercially beneficial tax solutions adhering to IFS’s core values and policies.
- Lead the development and delivery of Global tax planning and strategy, identifying opportunities and ensuring benefits are realised, risks are managed and compliance is maintained.
- Manage our Global Tax Advisors in a co-source environment overseeing scope, fees and output ensuring value-adding processes and advise.
- Actively engage with the business and operating units to understand existing processes and activities, identify new areas of risk and implement solutions.
- Manage and oversee our local tax activities and co-sourced corporate income tax compliance, internal provisioning and tax disclosures for the statutory accounts processes, ensuring timely filing of tax returns / meeting of deadlines for entities.
- Manage processes with accounting, legal, treasury and finance teams overseeing creation of relevant tax information to provide external advisors, for the preparation of tax provision workings, tax and incentive claims, elections and relevant tax returns. Ensure accurate accounting of corporate income taxes.
- Responsible for managing and forecasting the effective tax rate of the Group, creating a working model to strategise and understand impact from acqusitions, refinances and commercial decisions.
- Manage financial reporting of income taxes (representing Group tax) by monitoring and communicating emerging tax laws, legislation and rulings regulations. Research, analyse, and quantify any impact to relevant company’s financial statements and maintain strong knowledge of the industry and the of business.
- Oversee the transfer pricing process and modelling, supporting the Group Tax, local finance, Tax advisor and Group accounting teams ensuring contemporaneous documentation is maintained and policies are challenged as the business evolves.
- Support local finance, group accounting and legal teams with indirect tax queries.
- Support the Global Head of Treasury & Tax in accessing the risks of M&A target tax due dilligence working with advisors to create and deliver integration step plans.
- Lead and manage relationships with tax authorities, manage tax audits for the EMEA / International region (excluding US). Manage responses to notices, queries and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Support Global Head of Treasury & Tax in presenting Tax matters to the Audit Committee and Group Board.
- Develop, oversee, and support Group Tax Manager and Tax Accountant in fulfilling their roles
