**Mental Health Support Worker** - £21,838 - £22,608 per annum (Salaries vary depending on experiences) Plus Sleep-In payments in addition.

**Hours** - 37 hours per week, Monday - Sunday, inclusive of bank holidays, Shift Basis (including weekends). Please note sleep-ins are required for this job role (additional to basic hours).

**Service - **Harwood House, Aylesbury

**What You’ll Be Doing**:
The Harwood House team are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their team. Harwood House is a 24/7 supported living scheme for adults with long term mental health issues. Clients are supported at Harwood House following extended stays on acute psychiatric and rehabilitation wards or are returning closer to home after periods in out of county placements.

**Some of the core duties include**:

- Support residents with medication concordance.
- Taking part in a range of activities during key working sessions with residents whilst helping them to achieve their aspirations.
- Ensuring house rules are kept and adhered to as well as providing a safe and respectful environment.

**Essential criteria**:

- GCSE Maths and English, being IT literate due to the volume of paperwork required to be kept up to date.
- Good organisational, communication, written and verbal skills and can work calmly in difficult and challenging situations.
- Knowledge and understanding of different types of mental health illnesses and the level of care some residents require would be desirable, but full training will be given.
- Experience within a care or mental health settings is desirable, but not essential.

You will receive the training and confidence to use core therapeutic talk therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-based Trauma Informed Care and Mutual Aid to provide the best possible support to our clients.
