We have a great opportunity to join Suffolk County Council's Stowmarket Registration Office as a **Registration Assistant** working at the Register Office, Milton Road, Stowmarket.

**Your role and responsibilities**

The Suffolk Registration Service is responsible for the registration of births, deaths and marriages, civil partnership and citizenship ceremonies. Registration Assistants carry out a varied range of administration support functions across all areas of the service.
- working as part of the team at Stowmarket Registration Office carrying out a wide range of administrative support to the team
- attending ceremonies at a range of locations in the area to complete the ceremony's legal paperwork
- taking bookings for appointments and ceremonies and handling payments
- you will need to be professionally presented at all times.

**You will need**
- to be able to demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail
- to be calm and methodical under pressure
- have good knowledge of using IT and software programmes
- the confidence to work with people who are bereaved or who have heightened emotions.
