We are seeking to recruit a Team Leader to join the Adult Community Mental Health Service in South West Hertfordshire.If you are interested in working with an outstanding Trust to develop and deliver community treatment in mental health, then we would love to hear from you.

Our team is based in Borehamwood and provides services to the locality of of Hertsmere. Borehamwood is a busy, thriving and diverse town and our work and the team reflects this. The area is well served with easy access to historic Hertfordshire and all of its beautiful countryside as well as excellent transport links into London and beyond.

You will be an experienced Mental Health clinician (Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) with excellent assessment and risk management skills who is able to embrace and drive change and innovation.

We are looking for a skilled and intuitive communicator with experience of providing leadership. You will work directly with the Service Manager who will provide support, development and direction and alongside other leadership colleagues.

You will know the importance of providing high quality supervision and of working together with staff and the wider management team in providing supportive, effective and coordinated leadership to the team in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for service users and carers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move into their first management role or for an experienced manager who wishes to take a change in direction and who can take the service forward with enthusiasm and a passion for continuous quality improvement.

**Job Summary**:
To work in collaboration with the Community Mental Health Services Manager, to ensure the highest standards of practice and service delivery.

To work as part of the Mental Health Directorate to deliver the services required under the National Service Framework for Mental Health

To provide day to day management, leadership and supervision to a multi
- disciplinary community mental health service team.

The Team Leader will manage nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and other staff, ensuring that the needs of service users are met through the effective deployment of these staff. S/he will also maintain a clinical role and/ or a caseload dependant on sector need.

The Team Leader will contribute at a local level to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

The Team Leader may on occasion deputise for the Community Mental Health Services Manager in his or her absence, as agreed with the Service Line Leader.

The Team Leader will ensure, in collaboration with other professional colleagues that professional practice meets standards as set by HPFT and/or professional statutes and bodies.
