**Salary**: £21,151 gross per annum (pro rata to £12,005 gross per

Mid Cheshire Mind is at an exciting time in its history. Moving to new premises in the centre of Winsford, the well-established charity is looking to consolidate and grow service provision to enable it to support the mental wellbeing of even more local people.

Mid Cheshire Mind provides a range of services including 1:1 counselling, mental wellbeing coaching and peer support groups.

**Job Purpose**

The purpose of this role is to provide assistance and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, through 1:1 support, peer support groups, signposting and psycho-educational workshops.

The primary objective it to empower clients, promote independence and have a positive impact on their overall wellbeing. The postholder will show empathy, patience and a good understanding of mental health issues and the impact this can have in a person’s life.

**Key tasks**:

- Offer reception and front of house duties at our Mental Wellbeing Hub, greeting clients and guests in a professional manner.
- Work closely and effectively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a highly efficient service.
- Support service users over the telephone or face to face.
- Triage of clients in order to refer or signpost to the appropriate person or service (internal and external).
- Process paperwork - all referrals to be promptly dealt with, entered on to the system and allocated to the appropriate person/service.
- Manage the office diary.
- Create and amend standard paperwork as and when necessary.
- Work with the MCM Service Manager to monitor the standard paperwork - ensuring consistency and accuracy of completion.
- Track clients in response to requests from referrers or staff.
- Monitor and check available appointment slots for clients.
- Fill appointment slots for the team (including counsellors in training, mental health support workers and/or group coordinators), as and when requested to do so or by monitoring the diary.
- Assist in the preparation and production of statistical information on a monthly/quarterly basis as required by the MCM Service Manager or commissioners.
- Log both in-coming and out-going post and take items to the post box.
- Attend meetings relevant to this post.
- Take meeting notes when required.
- Support the team, including volunteers with administrative tasks, as and when necessary.
- Be responsible for one’s own safety and well-being, as well as that of service users and other staff - following health and safety and lone working procedures on site.
- Work as an integrated part of a team to ensure the smooth running of Mid Cheshire Mind services.
- Work flexibly to allow us to offer the best service possible to clients
- Adhere to Mid Cheshire Mind policies and procedures, including confidentiality and safeguarding, and other relevant policies.
- Shop for various items for the premises, as and when necessary.
- Carry out petty cash checks and provide monthly reports to the Head of Finance.
- Carry out a fire alarm safety check on a weekly basis, and record outcomes of this.
- Undertake the role of an Emergency First Aider (training provided)
- Undertake any other reasonable task that is required by the organisation.
- Hold keys and be responsible for opening and locking up on working days.

**Additional duties**
- Provide relief cover for other admin staff (lunchtime/holidays/sickness).
- Attend external events (e.g. health promotion days) as required
- Other duties as required by the organisation.
- Willing to undertake training as identified by the organisation.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £21,151.00 per year
