As a Regional Decorator for The Priory Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residences across West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, and Rochdale are not only well-maintained but also feel like a home. Your primary focus will be on decorating bedrooms to match the individual tastes and care needs of our residents, alongside carrying out small maintenance tasks. This role demands a creative and empathetic approach, with an emphasis on creating comfortable and personalised living spaces.

Maintains a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.

**Personalised Room Decoration**:
Consult with residents to understand their preferences and requirements for room decoration.
Design and implement bedroom decoration plans that reflect the residents' tastes and are compliant with their care needs.
Regularly update and refresh room decorations to maintain a vibrant living environment.

**Maintenance Tasks**:
Perform routine and minor maintenance tasks such as painting, wallpapering, and fixing minor damages.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for more significant repair work, ensuring a safe and well-maintained living environment.

**Quality Assurance**:
Ensure all decorated spaces meet The Priory Group’s standards and guidelines.
Regularly inspect decorated areas for upkeep and maintenance needs.

**Collaboration**:
Work closely with care staff to ensure the residents' needs are met.
Collaborate with external suppliers and contractors when necessary.

**Reporting and Documentation**:
Maintain records of design plans, maintenance work, and resident feedback.
Report any significant issues or concerns to the appropriate management team.

**Required Skills**:
**Experience in Interior Decorating**: Proven experience in interior decorating or a similar field.

**Creativity and Vision**: Ability to create welcoming and personalized spaces.

**Practical Skills**: Competence in basic maintenance tasks and familiarity with decorating tools and materials.

**Communication Skills**: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with residents and staff.

**Desired Skills**:
Qualification in interior design or related field.
Experience working in a care home or similar environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in a residential care setting.
